This is our daddy and mother with Carol, circa 1946, at our home in Avon Park, Florida. He passed away in 2000, and we miss him every day. Happy Father's Day, Daddy.
Since it's Father's Day, this is our daddy (in his WWII uniform) with his father (in his Chief of Police uniform).

This is Daddy holding Elizabeth, the second child--another girl. Daddy never did get his son.
But, boy, did he love his girls!
Below, he was going off to Korea for a year. He had been called up for duty due to the Korean Conflict. Here, we are in our front yard in Bartow, Florida, where he was a schoolteacher and coach.
We were going on a plane ride. Oh, my, did we dress up to fly. Gotta love the gloves, hat and purses.

Sweet memories.
