Oh Dear,

While you are waiting for us to show you something wonderful we have created, ( and we are waiting for that too...) let me show you some pictures I took from inside my house. ( I am not getting out in that stuff!) The deer are not enjoying this any more than we are. In fact, they are quite hungry and can't find much grass or vegetation. They lay down in back of the house a lot, and come right up to the front to try and find grass--but to no avail. My husband says they have to move slowly to conserve energy now too. If we startle them and they run off, it is not good for them. We are due for a warm up this week- that means maybe one day over 33degrees. It will take a lot more than that to melt this - probably will be March.

  1. Wow!
Talk about a small world - yes I'm outside of Pittsburgh in Harmony Township!
Our deer are coming right up to our homes also. I fed them one year and I had 27 of them in my yard not 30 feet from my back door! They camped out for at least a week! Won't do that again!
PS. Still waiting for the awesome creations, too! LOL

  2. Just beautiful. We haven't seen any deer but we are enjoying the warmer temps this week in Kearney. How are the hats coming along?

Lovely pictures of the deer. We have them hide in the neighborhood when hunting season opens.
I love the Christmas pictures. Just fun everywhere.
    Again so glad we connected.

  5. Thanks for visiting my blog! To answer your question about chain: Yes, I would play with medium or large link chains. My necklaces have been created using about 20 inches of chain, not too long and not too short. I bought some cool medium to large spring ring clasps at Ornamentea (located in Raleigh, NC--you can shop online and they have great brass chain!). Do you know how to make jump rings? I've been creating my own with 18 to 20 guage wire. But if you don't have that, then use 7mm or 9mm rings. I use those on the opposite side of the chain for the spring ring clasp to connect to. Look at my Brass and Blue entry on my blog for a picture of this. Hope that helps.
